About Beth Lowell
Beth Lowell is an animal Reiki practitioner with a house-call practice in Northern New Jersey. After she adopted her dog Dasher in 2001, she turned her love of animals into a full-time business as a pet-sitter. She was drawn to Reiki as a means to help animals who face both physical issues and behavioral challenges that often stem from anxiety.
Making compassion a commitment, Beth treats a range of issues including stress, emotional problems and physical ailments, and has worked with a number of animals nearing transition. She is also pleased to work with many animals who show no outward signs of suffering from pain or emotional upset but respond enthusiastically to receiving the loving touch of Reiki.
Beth studied Reiki for animals with Kathleen Prasad and expanded her curriculum to include animal communication and flower essences in an ongoing mentorship program with Elizabeth Fulton, who co-authored the book, 'Animal Reiki' with Kathleen. Beth's Reiki Masters are Miriam Behar and Frans Stiene.
Beth has a deep understanding of animal
behavior and is a firm proponent of positive, relationship-based training and is
a strong believer in homeopathic and holistic veterinary care.
Beth has worked in the
past as a volunteer for animal rescue and as an assistant trainer for St.
Hubert's Dog Training School in Madison NJ.
Beth is a
published poet, artist and photographer whose work is inspired by the natural
world around her. She has contributed to the Animal Reiki Source newsletter and
the Reiki Digest.
